- Cost by monthly revenue takes, for each platform, the cheapest plan whose total cost (flat monthly fee plus its transaction-fee cut of that revenue) we can PROVE (revenue levels modeled: $1,000/mo, $2,500/mo, $5,000/mo, $10,000/mo, $25,000/mo, $50,000/mo), then reports the cheapest, median, average, and most-expensive across the platforms we can verify a total for. A platform whose fee we can't turn into a monthly total is excluded from that band, never scored as though its fee were zero.
- Crossover points (AC#3) rank the platforms we can verify a total for AGAINST EACH OTHER — they do not necessarily change the single overall-cheapest pick shown in 'At a glance' (a platform that is provably cheapest at every modeled revenue, such as a genuinely free plan, can never be overtaken). Found by sweeping $0–$60,000/mo of monthly revenue in $10 steps and checking, at each step, which platforms we can verify a cheapest total for and in what order — refining any change to the nearest whole dollar. A crossover narrower than that step, or beyond the swept range, would not be found; a pair of platforms can cross more than once, since a platform's own cheapest plan can itself change with revenue.
